Buying Frenzy....
yes, I am on a bit of a spree and can't stop myself :(!!! As if buying for Christmas presents wasn't quite enough, Joe and I went a little crazy this month, so it ain't just me. I'd like to blame it on the fact that I find myself depressed every now and then these days, but really.... it's not that, totally anyways. Some people eat, work out like crazy, or drink alcohol to fill "voids"... me? I SHOP! Ironically though, it doesn't help and normally I just feel worse in the after math of looking at my bank accounts lol! BUT, anyways... onto what we have purchased...
Joe actually bought me this IPOD for Christmas:

I wanted one, didn't really "need" one, but thought it would be a cool little gadget to have. So, once I opened it on Xmas and got some songs... I was HOOKED. I found myself using it all of the time, either when I was doing laundry, taking my baths, or doing dishes. BUT, the problem was I was on Itunes one day and saw that you could get TV shows... REALITY TV shows nonetheless! Once I figured out that I couldn't watch them on the Nano, I decided that since Joe bought it at COSTCO, I would exchange it (gotta love their no questions asked return policy) and buy this video IPOD:

Can I just saw WOW! Totally awesome! The first thing I watched on it was Ugly Betty... I hadn't seen any episodes last season, but after the awards it received at the Golden Globes, I thought I'd give it a whirl. So, today in the tub, it was me, America and Salma (hubba hubba)! The episode I saw was cute, but I don't know if buying the season is worth it... I gotta see what reality shows I can get and haven't seen! I adore the player though... totally awesome and I lurve it lots!
Next thing us crazy kids did was trade in Joe's 2003 Explorer. When Joe first talked about getting a new truck, I thought he was crazy, but the more I thought of it.... it just made sense. His truck needed about $2000 worth of work (4 new tires, air conditioning was shot, needed a complete detail, etc.), so we went to the FORD dealership to see what they had and to talk numbers. Wefound this baby.....

Actually... this isn't the exact truck we got... 2007 F150 XLT with super cab AND ours has a super lift package on it whice makes us feel like we are towering over other cars:)! Joe has been totally anal about the darn thing too... won't let either of the kids eat or drink anything in it, he's washed it like 10 times already, and already has a list of things he "needs" done to it, which include but are not limited to buying a theater system because the portable DVD we use to keep the baby quiet isn't good enough apparently, getting a liner and cover for the bed of the truck, and getting a Bluetooth hookup for the obnoxious new phone he got from me for Xmas:
In my opinion, he has no use for a nice, expensive phone since the only calls he makes are at work, for work, to his family, or to me... but whatever. He has been wanting a new phone with a good camera forever since he is tired of taking photo's to work to show us off :) Joe is constantly looking at his phone, checking the features out, and looking online for dubm accessories. Hey... whatever it takes to get him outta my hair right?
But with Joe's big toy, I knew I had to get something rather large of my own.... so I decided to get a new car also!

I got a new black 2007 JETTA, but I really wanted this:

Big diffrence huh? I went to Mercedes first and when I saw the number for the amount they wanted down... I got scared lol. Surprisingly, Joe was actually pushing me to get it (I think he felt guilty that he got a nice brand new truck and I was "stuck" in my dumb Honda Accord, but I chickened out with my tail between my legs and took my cheap ass to Volkswagon instead! My new car is actually OK... nothing fancy at all, but I do like the way it looks and the safety features it has... my E class will have to wait 3 years until this lease is up! Darn it! NO biggie though, I will live.
And last but certainly not least.... I made a purchase for the wedding....

aren't they adorable? They are the lightest shade of pink... nearly off white. I have been looking for shoes for months now and nothing seemed "perfect", but when I hit Nordstrom's last week... I almost gravitated towards these and fell in love! They couldn't be more perfect to me! I had my final fitting for my dress and it should be done in about a week. Invitations went out this week and I have my "favors" idea all planned out. I'm getting super excited about the big day... especially since the FAB Jessica Claire ( http://homepage.mac.com/caddygrl77/blog/) is shooting the wedding. How freaking stoked am I?????? Words cannot even express how excited I am JUST for the pics!!!! Wohoo!
Ok ladies... if you haven't heard the good word... I'm having a guest CT call:

I have received a ton of entries, but still haven't decided at ALL! So, make sure you get an application into me at the store (corina@funkyplaygrounddesigns.com) by 1-24!!!!
