So lately I have been feeling like a chicken with my head cut off! With the store opening and me makin new goodies, I haven't really had any time to do much of anything else, let alone stalk the DST gallery and praise... which I LOVE to do! But in the midst of the madness last week, I got a PM that made my day! Here is what it said...

"Hi Corina,

I'm really pretty newish to digiscrapping, but, you know, I try. Anyway, I've been coveting your items at PDW and last night, while I was trying to find the perfect quote for a picture of my neighbor/best friend's son, I wandered over to PDW to look at your Arsenal (which I bought, despite my resolution not to buy anything until my house sells {sigh}). And there, right there, was the perfect quote for my friend's ds. Her little guy is having such a hard time - he's ADHD and possibly early-onset bipolar, has a new step-mom and step-baby brother, but he is a sweetheart and a brilliant kid who, unfortunately, probably because of all the stuff he's dealing with, failed first grade and has to repeat it this year. Anyway, so I took this picture and wanted a quote to go with it, and you had it. I posted it here at DST ( The Neighbor's Son ) but the thing is, when I sent it to my friend, she cried. Said it was the perfect quote and...and...anyway, just wanted to say thanks, and to let you know I love your stuff! (And please make more quote/word art!)"

So, when I went to go have a lookie, I just felt good. I don't know why, but it made me take a sec to really go and look at someone's layout close and think about it. She did an awesome job with it and it meant a lot to me that she took the time to jot down a little note for me to see! So, thanks girly!!!

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE seeing what people have been doing with my boxy thing! With every layout I see, I notice some cool and "inventive" technique or what not. I have gotten quite a few requests about doing a contest with them and was totally hesitant about it cuz I hate the whole "contest" idea... but alas I have given in to peer pressure and will do one now.... I AM looking forward to seeing all the neato stuff though!

Not much to it in the terms of guidelines but here it is:

-use my printers drawer in a layout... you can use either black or white (sold individually also- black and white )
-use any other products from any other designers, but the printers box must be the "background" and extra ++'s for using more of my gooides hehe
-post a link to your layout here on my blog (link on post below this one entitled "Printer's Drawer Contest Entries"
-post anytime from now until Sunday, August 6th 10pm (pacific standard time)
-my CT and I will pick a winner and post the results sometime that week
-1 entry per person please... so make it good and make it count

The winner will receive a gift certificate to my entire "store" at PDW ! This means ONLY my products and not the products of ANY other designer there, so don't get loopy and think you hit the jackpot of all jackpots! I have so much to share with everyone!!!! I'm going to divide this into sections for everyones sanity and not waste any time because after this weekend and everything I have done... Thank goodness it's all over with! I never would have dreamed that so many people would be interested in anything I made, let alone want to be a part of my team! But plenty of people showed interest, boy let me tell you! I only started out looking for 3-4 gals and ended up expanding my team to a whopping 13!!! I hated saying no to people, it broke my heart, but I suppose I had to right? I actually wanted until just today to notify the others because I HATED even writing that email. Pretty Metals...

Illustrator has got to be the best tool for doodling... well, that and a WACOM! Just made these for the store since I have been putting off looking through my CT emails... too much stress deciding so I'm gonna wait until the last minute... till I HAVE to pick! But, about the swirls... I'm a terrible draw-er, but Illustrator is da bomb for smoothing and has all these neato calligraphy brushes! Wohoo... new play toy!

Speaking of CT.... I have 2 to add to my "arsenal" (haha, get it.... I have a kit called areseanl, and I just said arsenal... ok i'm a dork, humor me). Can't say yet until I talk to them again and go over some details... BUT... I will say that when I got the invite, I was shocked! Stunned! Just about nauseous with excitement! Hopefully, I can "come clean" soon cuz Im dying with excitement over here! Not to mention, I'm terrible with secrets! OK... toodles... lunch time!

New Stuff....

Well, I needed a way to not think about my CT call, so I started makin' some stuff that I think totally rock lol! The alpha set comes in a bunch of different colors and the fringed shapes are totally funky! They won't be released until this weekend, since I have a few adjustments to make and with Joe working days this week for training instead of afternoons/nights... I'm shit outta luck with getting anything done! Anywho, take a looky and see. Whatcha think?





This weekend we saw Pirates II... totally disappointed! The end bugged the crap outta me and I found the movie soooo anti-climactic. Was so looking forward to this one since I LOVED the first one! Johnny Depp was awesome, but everything else was poopy! Oh, in other movie news, I had been wanting to watch Poltergeist for WEEKS now, but never got to Blockbuster to pick it up. We had to take my PC in to get the hard drive cleaned and get a spyware thingy out, so Joe picked up Poltergeist I, II, and III for me... it was quite the movie weekend... gotta go do something BRB!

I'm offically BLUE....

When I was told a few weeks ago that I should do a CT call, I was like "Um why would I wanna embarrass myself and have like 3 people apply?" I never could have even dreamed that I would get the response that I have... unreal folks, unreal! The first 10 or so... um, the first few hours the call was put out, I thought to myself "Well hot damn! BUT this ain't going to last, surely people will stop smoking crack, sober up, and realize they didn't want to be on my stupid team". Although I was happy and excited! Then another day came and more app's rolled in. Then more, then more.

So why am I blue? Because I know I can't take everyone! Some of the emails I have got are so heartfelt, so sincere, I hate saying no! So, whats a girl to do? I mean, I know if I were applying to a team that I REALLY wanted to be on, I'd be sad, hell, I'd be real sad and even question my abilities... but thats just me. I know having a CT is going to be a good thing for me and I am super excited to build close relationships with the gals (man that sounds dorky...)! Anyways, Im done venting! I just hope the 16th rolls around very slow and something comes up where I can't announce... like ever!

In other news... I scrapped!





Alright, Joe will be home in 20 minutes and my official "family time" will begin! Have a kick arse weekend all!!!!!

WOW, just WOW!

I can't even get over how great everything is going over at PDW ! I knew it would be a hit... how can it NOT be with all those FAB designers KWIM... BUT I didn't think little old me would do well too! I was just telling Amber that I was worried I wouldn't make my subscription amount for the site... that after this month I'd probably call it quits! Then orders came in, then a few more, and even a few more! WOW! So then instead of scrapping, like I had planned to do now that we went live... I started making more stuff! Here is a kit I just finished up and should be going up next Sunday night:



More stuff is in the works and for those few of you who follow my boring ole bloggy, teasers will be up this week as I finish! BUT, whats even better were all the kind words people left at DST! I was just about in tears with each post! Since my STUPID wireless internet is only up half the time these days, I actually took a break from makin' schtuff and did a layout! I was afraid of getting backed up on CT stuff, so I knew I had to get at least this done today... so I have to share this LO and pimp my amazingly talented chica HOLLY:
