Pigs must be flyin' (edited title)...

because I actually scrapped myself! Holy Moly! I am still kinda shocked! Joe has been buggin' me to take some pictures of myself so yesterday I set something up in the garage with my new seamless white paper. The neighbors must have thought I was crazy running back and forth to the camera to set it, then in front of the paper before the timer went off! After this "shoot" we went to my favorite new spot and Joe took some shots of me... he said they looked pretty good through the view finder, but when I got home to proof... most were blurry! Darnit! He did get some good ones and I will scrap them tonight. I vow to get at least 1 more page of ME done tonight.

I was a very good girl yesterday and today... when I got the new camera I told myself that I would be diligent about printing and being organized. So, at the end of every month, I proof/reproof my pictures, then upload to 2peas pictures for printing. I finished up my March batch last night WOO HOO! Now all I gotta do is burn my DVD copies of pics and then my digi stuff! Anywho... almost forgot... about these pics here...

As I was proofing them, I kept thinking to myself "Do I really look like that?" Since I had the baby 5 months ago, actually while I was pregnant too, I HATED the way I looked. As expected, I felt all gross and fat YUCK! Even now, I know I have some extra pounds to get rid of, but I swear I have a complex... my body just ain't the same as it was pre-Makena... stuff hangs where it didn't before and I got extra meat in places ( I don't thinkk it was there before?)! I get so down about myself and really... I don't think I have stopped calling myself fat since I was 3 weeks preggo. Joe is completely sick of it, I know, but before her I was at the gym everyday... yeah everyday! Now I just have no motivation, no drive. Before people go Bruce Lee on me for saying any of this... when you have spent your whole life at a certain weight and then it snowballs, real fast... it sucks... so let me get over my stupid vent and now I will sheeeuutt up!

Crazy Morning!

Man oh man... Rapid Share takes forever to upload! To make matters worse... the baby still has a cold and was having a terrible time falling asleep because of a stuffed nose! But I did manage to get Mary C. her link as well as make this little add on for the "berry spring" kit that will be released soon! Feel free to hold on to this and then download the kit next week... they coordinate see?!!!

Alrighty, until next time! Have a great day!!! Thanks again to everyone for the suggestions on names! You made it real difficult to choose!!!

I choose....

the last post of the day from MARY C!!! I loved all of them... it was so hard to choose, but the more I looked at the colors... it did kinda look "berry-ish"! So, Mary, drop me your email so I can send you the link to the kit!

To the rest of you, I have another little gift for you for participating! As soon as I get it uploaded to RapidShare, I will send out links! Thanks again for playin'!

Name Me

So, I got another kit freebie going up next! I love makin' them, but always have a heck of a time namin' them! So, for this post I have decided that for today only (wednesday) I will take suggestions for a name for the kit. Just leave me a comment on what you would call it based on the color scheme... most of the papers have a floral or lacey type print (if ya can't see it in the preview). The poster with the winning name will get this kit first, before it is released to anyone else. I will post the winner tomorrow and send the kit out to the winner!!!

I hope ya play and I can't wait to see what people come up with!!!

Beautiful Weekend...

Isn't my sister GORGEOUS!!! She hates the first shot though! Out of the 50 or so shots I got of her yesterday... this was absolutely my fav! It's so her. I had it on my photosite and she is making me take it down... how rude!!! I may have to say I can't access my account for the moment....

My birthday weekend (as Joe called it), was AWESOME! I expected my sister to come, but Joe ended up inviting my other sister down also who I haven't seen in a few years. Joe went to work like usual yesterday, said he was sorry he couldn't be there for the day and then about 10 minutes after my family arrived, ...

he walked in the door with a big birthday cake and a ton of food from COSTCO!!! They said he had been planning it for weeks now! Joe took the day off, obviously, watched the baby while my sisters and I caught up... all the kids ran a muck around the house, and then he cooked dinner for everyone... filet mignon, grilled chicken, rice (I am Filipino afterall), and zucchini... what we call "Benihana Night".

As if it couldn't get better... my sisters took me out to downtown to a bar/club and Joe stayed home with ALL the kids... WOW!

We went to the "W" Hotel and had a good time... although I don't think my sisters can remember it (lol)... needless to say, I drove THEM back to my house and listened to them snore the whole way home! You'd think it was their birthday huh! It's funny though. This was the first time I had gone out in at least a year and a half. All I did was think about Joe, the baby, and Blake. I was almost wishing I stayed home with them like I always do. Ironic, considering how much I complain about us "not" going out and being cooped up in the house!

Anyways, I had such a great birthday "week" thanks to my honey bunny Joe! Have I already mentioned how lucky I feel?????

Bling Bling in da house

Originally, I had planned on just givin' the link out, but I can't make it that easy right? Afterall, I did spend a little time on these doo dads!

For those of you who visit my blog, you should know how much I adore my Joe and how great he is to me. As time goes by, we laugh more and more together, probably because we seem to be gettin' sillier as we get older. I'd love to know a little more about you and your honey bunny! So, all I ask of you if you dowbload the elements:

a. tell me 3 things/qualities you love about your husband or significant other (things that make ya smile or make ya warm and fuzzy)

or

b. tell me 3 funny facts about your husband or significant other

or /and

c. if ya don't have a husband or significant other... tell me a funny joke ( I love the dirty ones hehe)

Pretty easy? I think so! Again... I don't sell anything I make anywhere. Everything I make, I give out for free. I just love seeing my name "in lights" (so to speak), so make sure if ya use these or anything else I make for you, throw my name in your credits (Corina or realtorpea or link to this blog)!!!

oh... forgot to mention... I plan on having at least 1 freebie up every week, so make sure ya check in every now and then! This is what I am finishing up this week and should have it put together very soon!

(credits: paper, epoxy stickers, buttons mine. Ribbons are Sara Carling. Lace is Kate Teague, pink flower is Gina Miller, "beauty" by Jen Wilson, collage daisy were a freebie by a newbie... there was no TOU so I don't remember!)

Happy Monday to all!!!!!

Post Birthday Wrap Up

What a LONG day! This is what it looked like:

7am-

**woke up to presents from Joe and Blake and baby

My cards were my absolute favorite part of the day! Joe made the baby's card and inked up her hand as her "signature"... very cute. Blake wrote the most thoughtful thing "I love you more than skateboarding. Yes? Oh yes and more than that. Up to the moon and back".

7:30am-11:30am

**slept on and off, when I didn't have to feed the baby. Joe made me breakfast in bed... might not look that good but everything was just how I like it! Then Joe got a bath all ready for me... complete with a new "People" magazine for me to enjoy while I soak.

12pm

**drove pops into San Diego for surgery

1pm

**went to the mall to use my gift cards... bought a new outfit for dinner tonight and a new pair of shoes... nice and high... 4 or 5 inches!

2:30-4:30

**back at home to feed baby, get them ready for Grandma, dress myself up and tried to get pretty

5:00-7:30

**dinner at Cheescake Factory

Didn't get too many shots here, but Joe did get one that was important for him... men!

8:00pm-1am

**Put baby to sleep, watched Idol, watched part of Related that we DVR'd, tried to figure out why the cable and internet went DOWN, then realized that we didn't pay the bill (man we felt ghetto)! Then I knitted for a little while until I made it to bed.

All in all... I had a GREAT day! Joe didn't let me do anything but take care of myself!

Happy Birthday ME!!!!

Like the kit says... Happy Birthday to me... happy spring to you! In honor of today, a gift from me to you!!! I found some cool dingbats at Da Font and played around with them with some poems in Pea Soup. Nothin' fancy!

Have a busy day ahead of me... my dad is going in to get prepped for dialysis in San Diego, Joe's mom is coming over this afternoon to watch baby and Blake, Joe and I go to dinner ( I think Cheesecake Factory), then pick up pops from the hospital! I hope everyone has a great day today! MUAH!

Oh, for those that did the challenge... I will be contacting you late tomorrow night if ya did 1 or 2 layouts. For those that did all 3, I will email you the links tomorrow night! They are all set up and ready to fly!

A not so funny, funny story

So, Joe works midshift and gets home around 12:30am thursday-sunday. I always stay up on the computer until he gets home. Being the dorks we are and since we moved into the new house and having a lot of "spare" room, he tries to sneak in the house and we kind of hide from one another (most of the time he finds me first and scares the crap out of me). So, last night, I heard the front door jiggle a little bit, like a key in the door... so I did what I normally do, jump up and go hide. 5 minutes or so later, I hadn't heard anything else anywhere, so I started to tip toe around and try to find him. The phone rang and I "knew" it was him trying to get me to talk, so he could find me first.... well I didn't answer it. After another 10 minutes I thought to myself "Dang.... he is really serious about this tonight!" So, I grabbed the phone and called him... but didn't say anything, hoping that I could "hear" him. Well I couldn't....

So I decided to give up. Went back to the bedroom and sat down. Called him back and told him I gave up. He was like "What the heck are you talking about?" I told him I heard him at the door, blah blah blah. He told me that he was still at the station, caught up on a late arrest he had. I thought to myself "Man... he sure is persistent!"

Long story a little longer... I ended up calling the police after I realized he was serious about not being home! I got all freaked out because I KNOW I heard the door. Sheriff came out, did a check, Joe got home soon after, did his own check, then he shook his head at me the rest of the night!

We have decided it's not a good idea to not scare each other anymore... at least for awhile!

{Retro Blues}

Alrighty, I just finished up the last little things in the kit and am ready to get on with the show! Here are the details of this challenge:

-download Retro Blues
-create a layout using its contents
-complete this by March 21st (MY BIRTHDAY)

**The BONUS and MORE FREEBIES**

I have made 3 other kits in the past week or so. For every layout you complete using Retro Blues until my birthday, you will get another kit (preview here ).So, if you make 1 layout, you get to choose 1 kit from the 3 available. If you make 2, you choose 2. If you make 3, you get ALL 3.... FOR FREE!!!

Link me to your layout/s on this post... just get them done before/on my BIRTHDAY (tuesday 3/21) and on the 22nd I will "hand" out the links to the other kits via email!

Have fun ladies and I CANNOT wait to see my schtuff in action!!!! If you don't want to participate in the challenge, have fun with Retro Blues (if you DL it)... but I would still love to see your schtuff and please, if possible, leave me a comment and let me know ya have it!!!

I have to brag a bit...

I know a lot of women think that their significant others are the best... but I have to say it... I think mine has them beat! He does it ALL!

When it comes to cleaning, he does it... laundry, dishes, vacuuming, dusting, windows, all of it. He watches the baby 99% of the time when he isn't working (only works 40 hours a week as a cop). He wakes up with the baby in the morning so that I can sleep in, normally until about 10am. He takes Blake to school every morning. He not only doesn't care about me spending money, he encourages me to spend money on myself. He surprises me with flowers and gifts all of the time. He tells me he loves me at least 3 times a day. He tells me how beautiful I am every day. When he is done in the shower, he gets a clean towel and hangs it up for me. He will give me the last bite of his food and always asks if I want a taste.... desserst included. He lets me have the remote. Man... my list could go on and on!

As if all that wasn't enough, he, um, "cooked", last night. Granted, it was BBQ'd chicken, mac and cheese, and a salad (even put pears in it cuz thats how I like it), but he offered to cook and was happy to do it!

Honestly, my life would fall apart if he weren't in it. I feel blessed everyday just thinking about how great of a man I have... anyways, just had to share that!

ignore... this is for the board...

It's Official

After giving it a little thought, I have decided to give everything I make digitally out for FREE! Since I just started out with digital a little over a month ago, I know I have so much to learn! I also remember about 5 years ago, before real estate, I opened up an online scrap site and it was soooo not fun. I hated having to please EVERYONE ALL of the time, I hated "having" to be by the computer all day as opposed to now where I just go on when I want... no pressure, and MOST of all... I hated that something I really loved to do (scrapping) turned into a "job", it took the fun out of it and I never got a chance to scrap. If I went serious about designing, I know the same thing would happen because thats the type I am. I either go full force 300% or nothing. I would rather take my time learning and creating, then put it out there for others to enjoy for FREE!!!! I'm going to leave the real designing to those who are truly, truly great at it!

And another thing... once Joe has shift change again and the baby stops b-feeding, I will return to work, and I will be back to running around like a chicken with my head cut off! Back to marketing, back to showings, back to faxing, back on the phone 5,000 minutes a month (no joke!), back to the grind.... I CAN'T WAIT! I will barely have time to cook dinner let alone make some paper!

So, this is a preview of something that I am working on and will be done by tonight. Again, this will be given out for FREE... there will be a catch though... details coming tonight!!!! My plan: every now and then, I will put up some challenge or some kind of game using a kit I made and those who play will be rewarded with other stuff I have created! If ya want a freebie or two or three, great, if ya don't, great! Easy as that! I really love seeing what people make with my schtuff! To me, that's what its about... seeing my stuff in action!

Anywho, check back tonight for details if ya want this kit and the details of the CHALLENGE!!!! If you live east coast, ya may have to wait until the AM! Have a great afternoon ladies!

{ My Sweet Lizette }

Dear Lizette,

Hold up... I just did the math... did you know that we have known each other for 14 years? Did you know that its been that long since we were freshmens in highschool? Holy CRAP! Did that make you feel old? Sure makes me feel OLD! If that wasn't enough... how about these:

Remember when I would show up to your house in the morning before school... you were always ready, but when I would knock on the door your mom would JUST be getting out of the shower or STILL in the shower... then we would have to rush to get to school on time and then RUN to class? Remember the practices in your driveway for your 15th? Remember James and Beto and Eduardo? Remember Robert and Paula (yucko)? Remember when I got dropped on my ass during a pep rally and had to go to the hospital? Remember concert choir and Gloria and her lack of being in key with uh, every note in uh, every song? Remember Kurt? Remember the day you left Los Angeles for "good"... I was standing in your driveway and saw you pull away in the Beretta, everyone still crying? Remember Miami and all my trips out there when we were young and cute and skinny? Remember those guys... that had the bikes... what the hell were there names? Remember "Zippers" and me dragging you out to go clubbing? Remember El Dueno Swing and Ice, Ice Baby? Remember Brice? Remember my feelings about fake Christmas trees and how everyone in Cape only remembered ME for THAT reaction I gave to THEIR tree? Remember Thanksgiving?

OK... I could go on and on down memory lane, but you get the idea. We have shared so much, even with you 3,000 miles away. I have always felt close to you and always will. You are my sweet, innocent Lizette, who I admire and adore to illegal limits. You have been my shoulder to cry on, my ears to hear things I already knew. You have always been there for me. I trust you with my life. You have no idea how much I love you. And you have no idea how much of an impact you have had on my life. Through the distance, you are still and always will be...

my bestest friend in the whole wide world.

Have a wonderful day!!!

All Dressed Up And Nowhere to go!

And a layout I did with this kit:

So, it seems as though I have been hit by the designing bug. Joe calls it an illness, but that's besides the point! I tried a few days ago, to just stick to making layouts with all the stuff I have bought, but one thing lead to another in Photoshop and I found myself with 3 new papers that lead to 3 more that I made.

I need to do some research I guess and figure out what exactly I am to do with these.... I have been going back and forth with just giving everything out free, but then realize that I would love to see my designs at a "store". I guess until I decide... I will leave a snapshot of what I have so far. This is 3 from the 5 that I have made, but I am still adding things here and there to them!

An FYI... "Awakenings" was named by Jeannette! She used the freebie I gave out last week and her layout was the first time I have seen my work "in action"... so I gave her a kit and told her she could name it! I loved what she did with them and she is such a sweety pie!

So, whatcha think?

My first experiences with a WACOM!

For those of you who are new to my BLOG, my daughter and I were having a really rough time with the car. It seems that this baby was unlike ALL other babies and HATED the car. BUT in recent headline news... it seems that she is over it (at least for the moment)! I was so excited yesterday when we made it 10 minutes in the car with no crying that I took her to Circuit City and bought a tablet for myself and Blake... who loves to draw! I played with it for a little while when the baby was taking her last nap for the day, trying to get used ot it, then Blake took it from me when he got back from hockey practice, then Joe got home from work and took it from me! The laptop AND my new WACOM! So, today... when the baby naps... I WILL PLAY!

You'd think this is what my 7 year old drew... but alas, this is Joe's masterpiece!

{ My Digi Designing Debut }

Like the paper says.... I'm A Dork! I played around tonight trying my hardest to make some paper. Well, this is what I came up with. Actually, considering I only went digital about 4 weeks ago and never designed anything, ever... I don't think it's too bad! If you think it is, just don't tell me! I have no idea what I am doing, but it was fun trying to figure it out (well more frustrating than fun), but I am sure if I keep at it, it will get better.... right? Anywho, let me know what you think! Or if you'd even use it (granted, it would be free lol)!!!

EDITED: Now that I see it on the screen... the paper really does have some texture and you can see it a little better if ya click on it!

{ Men }

I normally don't post so close together or about super private things, but I just needed to ask... Why is it that men are always ready and up for some lovin'? Sky fallin', dinner burnin', phone ringin', UPS knockin'... don't phase em in the slightest!

Nuff said...

Oh, and no pics for this post :) Sorry perverts!

Gettin Funky

So, today we went for a walk, but instead of going towards the rest of the community, Joe had a brilliant idea to go towards the fields. I found some really cool places to take pictures. I think I went through at least 75 shots tonight that I loved. I tried doing something different with these to get a "special" kind of feel... almost meloncholy? I love my camera.... and of course PS!
