Always Wanting to Play!!!

Took the pics in the baby's room a few weeks ago, but never got around to playing with them. With Joe "on" the next 4 days at work, I finally had a chance to do something "productive"!!! One would think that I could get something done WHILE he isn't working because he takes over baby duties while at home, but it's just the opposite... the only time I can do ANYTHING is when he IS at work!

with this picture, right? You'd think that I would be playing peek a boo with my 4 month old daughter, but instead, Joe caught me teaching Makena how to use curves in Photoshop! Really... I have serious issues.

Please pardon my lack of "clothes". Seeing as that she still hates the car, I don't get out of my house, let alone pajamas lately.

Joe's mother and grandmother paid us a visit this afternoon. I cannot believe that little old lady has 8 GREAT grandkids! WOWSA!




My sister, neice and nephew were also down to visit this weekend from L.A... it was so nice having the house "full". I love hearing the stamper of little feet up and down the stairs, the complaints about the boys not letting my neice play, the fights about what activity they are going to be playing next. I don't even mind all the boxes of mini cereal boxes half full, left ALL around the house!

No More Clothes... my new motto

Another day spent in pajamas and fumbling on the computer. We even had company at the house in the early part of the afternoon and I still had no desire to get dressed, let alone offer a drink and chat. For godsakes... I had a download up on the computer from ScrapArtist and I needed to make sure it loaded properly... right?

I did manage to wipe the dust off of my new camera (its been a few days since I took a shot) and take this picture of what Joe sent for V-Day. They are pretty and all... but freakin $80 from ProFlowers.com? Does he know how many kits and brushes I could have bought with that? Does he know that The Shabby Shoppe has new kits for their re-opening?

I never thought I would see the day where I gave up all things lumpy and bumpy, but after fooling around with some free kits in PS, I got hooked! I didn't even get out of pajamas yesterday because I was "busy" on the computer. I have spent so much time looking around for things to buy, my poor camera is getting lonely and feeling unloved I'm sure. Now, if I could just master Photoshop... I'd be set!

Panda Express

Can I just say how embarrassed Joe was while eating because of me snapping away at our food? All in the name of a "good" shot right? We stopped at Calumet to pick up my new lens and I could hardly contain myself. The second I got it on the camera inside Panda, I snapped away... of course everyone thought I was crazy, but I don't give a flying flip! Now I just have to learn to use it right! I was so busy with the camera, I didn't even know what I ordered. Anyways, the fortune cookie was good and the snaps were even better!

So, I know this sounds really bad and would probably be up for worst mother of the year award... but my daughter, my new 3 month old baby, is a nightmare. There I said it. Sue me. Today actually wasn't as bad as it normally is, but on an average day, she cries about 95% of the time she is actually awake. Forget the car and that old "put em' to sleep quick trick"... yeah I call BS! Naps... what naps?

Because she screams like she is being strangled as soon as she sees the inside of the car, it makes getting out to do errands impossible. I really feel like I am held hostage here. Luckily, I love the new house, but have to admit, I miss my Target shopping! I HOPE to GOD that this doesn't carry on much longer. Oh, and to top things off.... she is only "happy" when she gets carried. That makes getting ANYTHING done around the house imposible as well. At first I thought it was just colick, im , no that wasn't it. My son was NEVER like this!

Please tell me it will get better... even if ya have to lie... just tell me... please.

Jusy played with the photos in PS. The more I take pictures and play with the trial program, the more I fall in love... with both! The things it can do is UNREAL! Since I got the new camera, about 2 weeks ago, I think I have taken close to 500 pictures. Regardless of what Joe thinks.... I'm glad the money was spent on it! Now I just gotta get Amanda to get me the goods on the program before my trial expires!
